Lady Theater Productions Presents
I Should Have Just Married David Neilson in Kindergarten
A Modern Day Tinderella
Story Written and Starring Carol Palumbo - Featuring Lizzie
LaRocca
(It’s a one woman show, but I have codependency issues)
Directed by Mikaela Duffy
May 2nd- 11th as part of the Tampa International Fringe Festival
Somewhere
our fair maiden’s prince charming is stuck up a tree, but luckily
our story’s heroine has plenty of frogs to keep her company
until he arrives...
The only thing Carol has had a harder time with, besides her
writer’s block, is her love life. So why not combine the two,
and make it SUPER painful!
From her first love, to a disastrous first kiss, online dating,
really bad dates, and even worse sex - Carol uses her humor
to navigate through treacherous perils. There are plenty of
trolls along the way, but this is not your typical Fairy Tale.
Join this modern day Tinderella as she takes you on a journey
through the good, the bad, and the “What the Actual F***?!”
to finally finding love and her happily ever after.
***Trigger Warning: This show contains frank discussion
regarding sexual assault, date rape, and the onslaught of online
harassment that women face nearly every day.***

Downstairs Lady Theater Productions
Downstairs Lady Theater Productions is a production company
that seeks to empower women in the Theater Community through
art and expression. Right now we plan to produce at least one
show a year, focusing on festivals, and eventually moving into
producing original works and giving the ever-growing female
playwright base another outlet to share their works through.
Ultimately we realize that while our plans eventually involve
world domination, for now we are fine with seeing more women
achieving their goals in the performance world - be it through
staging their dream show, directing, writing, or just producing
shows with a strong female cast.
