this morning.
Betty
Who - I Remember (Official Video)
In
the video, directed by Jake Wilson, viewers will find the plot
vaguely reminiscent of Oscar-winning film The Shape of Water
as Betty finds herself falling in love with an unconventional
creature – in the most conventional ways that everyone experiences
and can relate to.
Betty has said previously of the track: "The whole point of
the song is about letting go of how hard life (and especially
love) can be at times and remembering why you do it in the first
place. Love is never going to be perfect. Sometimes it will
be easy, most times it will be hard, but all the time it's worth
it because, when you're with the right person, you are willing
to work for it."
Since the release of “I Remember” earlier this month, the song
has racked up more than 650,000 streams to date on Spotify and
garnered praise from numerous press outlets such as Rolling
Stone, PAPER Magazine, and Elite Daily. Elite
Daily said: “Betty Who's ‘I Remember’ lyrics are brazenly honest
about the peaks and pitfalls of love, and the song is the perfect
prelude to her first independent studio album Betty dropping
on Feb. 15.”
Ahead of Betty’s release, Betty is currently supporting Panic!
at the Disco on their Pray For The Wicked Tour throughout
the U.S. She will conclude on February 14 in Anaheim, CA before
immediately joining Kesha on her Kesha Cruise: Kesha’s Weird
& Wonderful Rainbow Ride from February 17-21 in the Bahamas.
