The Parliament House Resort in Orlando is CLOSING in November 2020

We are here to rest the rumors. Unless something "2020" happens, sadly, according to the Official Public Records, the Parliament House will be closing November 2, 2020. Court Filings shown below indicate the Judges approval to dismiss the "Bankruptcy" and move forward with surrendering the property.

"Debtor has agreed to surrender the Resort by 11:59 PM on November 2, 2020."

In all honesty, this is a very sad time for the LGBTQ+ Community in Orlando & Tampa Bay. The Parliament House has been an ICON and is known around the world. They have hosted some of the greatest parties and biggest names in our community. In past, bankruptcy protection has saved the Parliament House from closing. However, this time it is official. We hope everyone from the Owners to the staff will recover fast from this. Now more than ever, we need to support our Local LGBTQ+ Community Businesses.

10/6/2020 Update: Our above Info Page was removed temporarily because of harmful bullying and threats against our employees via email and on our social media accounts. We have been acused of producing fake documents, not reaching out to the owner for comments/quesions, and false creating a story (ALL of those are untrue, we did our research).

Corrected "PHouse", some said it sounds degrading and we do not want it to appear that way.

The hotel has witnessed most of the post Stonewall LGBTQ civil rights movement. Over the weekend rumors and legal filings have suggested the hotel’s last day will be November 2."

"... Granatstein says he will have a much clearer picture come next week when he plans to sit down and renegotiate the dates laid out in the court documents.

Worst case scenario, Parliament House would need to eventually find a new home. While Lion currently owns the property, it does not own the name.

“We own the name Parliament House and we own everything that goes with it,” Granatstein says, “so that is an option but I don’t want to do that. We’ve had people tell us the place is beat up, that’s a lot of money, we know how hard it is; just open it somewhere else and we’ll be fine. That doesn’t feel right. Parliament House has been here for 60 years. I love this place, beat up or not beat up, I’ve been here for 21 years. Every morning I get up and I go to the Parliament House. This is where I spend my weekends, this is where I do everything. I’m not accepting it won’t be here and neither should anyone else.” "

10/29/2020 Update: On 10/28/2020 the Parliament House Officially Announces it will be closing on November 1, 2020 at the current location. Please go out and support them for the "LAST DANCE" gathering.

"Parliament House Orlando - For over 45 years, The Parliament House has called Orange Blossom Trail our home. We have to announce that our home at its current location will be closing Monday, November 2, 2020. We put up a good fight over the last 11 months to secure financing and renovate our existing property. Unfortunately, that fight ended today with no deal. Our “Last Dance” at 410 N. Orange Blossom Trail will be this Sunday, November 1, 2020..." Read the entire post here
