The
"Date Rape Drug" of choice was GHB. Getting it shipped from
out of the country was his way of flying under the radar. The
dark corners and mystique of Bar 2606 in Tampa sets the mood
for the Fetish Lifestyle. You can easily hide your identity
from others. In this case, it was the perfect feeding grounds
for MURDER. Sounds like something out of a scary movie, right?
Well sad to say but, all of this was a REALITY in Tampa Bay.
We want to help shed some light on a gruesome true story of
drugging, torture, and murders that rocked the Tampa Bay Gay
Community back in 2003. It has been almost a decade since the
body of Michael Wachholtz was found in the back of his Jeep.
Around the same time there was a Missing Persons case filed
on Jason Galehouse. Detectives said cases were "Cold". So the
family/friends pushed on for answers and would link the cases
together.
These two cases were featured in Docudrama "Tampa City Held
At Bay", produced by S.P.I. Productions (produced/directed by
John Spears) about two years ago. So why are we highlighting
this now? Believe it or not no one has been convicted of murdering
these two young men; but two men sit in prison for their involvement.
The Criminals are currently in Federal Prison convicted of some
horrific acts, but murder is not one of them. Steven Lorenzo
was sentenced in 2006 to 200 years behind bars for his involvement
in these cases. Lorenzo is convicted of drugging, torture and
raping at least these two young gay men; he is also possibly
linked to more in Tampa and other regions of Florida. Police
obtained a collection of photos showcasing 20 or more men being
tortured some even look as if they were in a comatose state
all from inside the Lorenzo house. The website Murderpedia.com
characterizes Lorenzo as a Serial Rapist. His accomplice Scott
Schweikert, however shared with police a much deeper picture.
Scott would confess to Murder. However, NO FORMAL CHARGES have
been filed in their deaths. Even after forensics found Jason
Galehouses' blood was in the garage.
