Official Trailer #1 - Terence Stamp Movie (1994) HD
Two
drag-queens (Anthony/Mitzi and Adam/Felicia) and a transgender
woman are hired to perform a drag show at a casino in Alice
Springs--a resort town in the Australian Outback. They head
west from Sydney in their ramshackle bus, "Priscilla." In route
their bus breaks down and they discover the person who hired
them is Anthony's estranged wife.
"Priscilla, Queen of the Desert became an instant favorite
to me when it debuted at the film festival in 1994. I remember
the Tampa Theatre being sold out and it was a great night for
the festival. Why I love this film is related to the political
climate going on here in the state of Florida right now. The
film has drag queens, transgender, family along with laughter
and some reality realizations for the Queer community. This
film has a positive ending which in real life can happen too
as long as we stick together like the 3 stars did throughout
the film. This film proves that there will always be a need
for a cock in a frock on a rock." - Tim Thomas
